Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 20 April 2026

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Plantry service (the "Service") provided by Plantry ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who you are contracting with

The Service is operated by Plantry. References to "you" mean the individual using the Service, or the organisation on whose behalf you use it. You confirm that you are of legal age to enter into a binding contract, or have permission from a parent or guardian.

2. The Service

Plantry helps households plan weekly meals, manage recipes, and generate smart shopping lists. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service in line with these Terms and your selected plan.

3. Your account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for any activity carried out under your account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you will not:

  • use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose;
  • send spam or infringe anyone's intellectual property rights;
  • interfere with the security or integrity of the Service, including introducing malware, probing for vulnerabilities, or scraping data;
  • reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the Service.

5. Intellectual property

We retain all rights, title, and interest in the Service, including the software, design, branding, and documentation. Content you create within the Service (such as your own recipes and meal plans) remains yours; you grant us a limited licence to host and process it solely so we can provide the Service to you.

6. Subscriptions, payments and refunds

Some features require a paid subscription ("Premium"). Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, taxes, renewals, cancellations and refunds are handled under Paddle's Checkout Buyer Terms. See also our Refund Policy. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account; access continues until the end of the current paid period.

7. Service availability

We work hard to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay for a subscription, present a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly violate our policies. You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting your account.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the fees you have paid to us in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages such as loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (such as for fraud or personal injury caused by negligence).

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will let you know by email or in the Service. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales, unless your local consumer law requires otherwise.
